2v2 Endzone

Setup

You will require: 4 balls / 2 sets of bibs / 18 cones, Create 15x15 areas with 2 endzones about 1 meter wide, split group into 2v2 games per area

How it works

The idea is to warm up with pair work, the opposition have to dribble the ball into the endzone, In pairs players need to coordinate shape and protect their endzone, they look to win the ball back and then score by dribbling in the opposite endzone

Coaching points

  • Stay goal side
  • Compact shape
  • Cover support
  • Win ball back
  • Communication

Progressions

progression: Create a 3v2 attacking overload regression: Defenders need only dribble into opposing half to score
