These terms explain the deal between you and Coach Baily when you use the app. Please read them. By creating an account or using Coach Baily you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Coach Baily is operated by Joe Baily, trading as “Coach Baily”, an individual (sole trader) based in the United Kingdom. In these terms “Coach Baily”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Joe Baily trading as Coach Baily. You can contact us at bailyldesign@gmail.com, or by post at 133 Wren Path, London SE28 0DY, United Kingdom.
Coach Baily is an online tool that helps grassroots football coaches build training session plans. You describe what you want to work on, and the app puts together a suggested session from a library of real coaching drills. It also lets you save sessions, organise them, keep a calendar, and (if you run or belong to a club) share sessions and plan together with other coaches.
Coach Baily is early-stage software (an "Alpha"). We are still building and improving it, so features may change, and things may occasionally not work as expected.
You need an account to use Coach Baily. When you create one you agree to give accurate details, to keep your password private, and to be responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.
You must be at least 18 (or the age of legal majority where you live) to use Coach Baily. It is a tool for adult coaches and is not aimed at children. If you record information about players who are children, please see section 6 below and our Privacy Policy for your responsibilities.
When you use Coach Baily, you agree not to:
We may suspend or remove access if an account is used this way.
The sessions, notes, club details, images, and other material you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and process that content only so we can run the app for you — for example saving your sessions, showing your club logo on your plans, and sharing sessions with other members of your club when you choose to.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use anything you upload (such as a club crest or a coach photo).
Some features let you add information about other people — for example other coaches, club staff, members, teams, and players (who may be children). When you do this, you (or your club) are responsible for that information: you must have a proper reason and, where the law requires it, the necessary permission or consent to add it, and you must only add what is appropriate.
For that information, Coach Baily acts as a service provider (a "processor") handling the data on your behalf, while you or your club decide what is collected and why (you are the "controller"). Our Privacy Policy explains this, and how information about children is handled, in more detail.
Coach Baily — including the app itself, its design, the "Coach Baily" name and branding, and the library of coaching drills and related content — belongs to us (or to those we license it from). We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive permission to use the app for your own coaching while these terms apply. That permission does not let you copy, sell, redistribute, or extract the drill library or any other part of the app, except the sessions and content you create or upload yourself.
Coach Baily builds session suggestions automatically from a library of real drills. These are suggestions to help you plan — not instructions you must follow. You know your players, your pitch, and your session. Always use your own coaching judgement, and make sure any activity is safe and appropriate for the age and ability of the players in front of you.
You are responsible for the safety of your sessions. Coach Baily does not supervise your training and is not responsible for how a session is run on the day.
Coach Baily is a paid product. Our prices are published on our pricing page: coaches can subscribe monthly or yearly, and clubs buy an annual workspace for their coaches.
Club trials. A club can try Coach Baily for 30 days before paying anything. The trial is started from within the app by the person who set the club up. It does not ask for card details, and nothing is charged when it ends.
A club can take a trial once. A club that has already had a trial, or has already had a paid plan, cannot start another.
During the trial, each coach in the club can generate up to 30 session plans a month. Session plans exported during a trial carry the same small footer line as plans exported from an account without a subscription. Plans exported once the club is on a paid plan do not carry it.
When the 30 days end, the club's workspace, its teams and fixtures, and every session plan already saved stay exactly as they are. Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked away. What ends is the trial allowance: each coach returns to their own plan — their personal subscription if they have one, or the allowance for an account without a subscription if they do not. A club can buy a plan from the pricing page at any time, during the trial or after it has ended.
We may change or withdraw the trial for clubs that have not yet started one. If your club is already in a trial, the terms you started under continue to apply to it.
You can also use Coach Baily without a subscription. An account without one can generate up to 5 session plans each month. The count resets on the 1st of each month. Session plans you have already saved remain available to open, edit and export whatever your remaining allowance.
Session plans exported from an account without a subscription carry one small line at the foot of the page identifying Coach Baily. It is a single footer line, not a mark across the page. Plans exported from a paid plan do not carry it.
We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any new limit, or any charge, applies to your account. You will then be able to choose whether to subscribe, continue within the limits, or close your account.
Coach Baily is provided "as is". Because it is early-stage software, we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or that it will suit any particular purpose. We provide it in good faith and do our best to keep it running and secure, but we do not give any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or fault-free.
To the extent the law allows, Coach Baily is not liable for any loss or damage that arises from your use of (or inability to use) the app, including things like lost sessions, lost data, or any decision you make based on a suggested session. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited (for example liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Coach Baily — for example content you uploaded that you did not have the right to use, information you added about other people without a proper basis, or a breach of these terms — you agree to be responsible for that claim and the reasonable costs it causes us, to the extent the law allows.
You can stop using Coach Baily at any time. You can delete your account yourself from the Security page in your account settings, which permanently removes your account and the data linked to it. We may also suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop offering the service. If we intend to stop offering the service, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We may update these terms as Coach Baily grows. If we make an important change we will make the updated terms available here and update the version and date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you use Coach Baily as a consumer from outside England and Wales, this does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
If any part of these terms is found not to apply, the rest still stand. Our not enforcing a term straight away does not mean we give it up. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about using Coach Baily. You may not transfer your rights under them to someone else; we may transfer ours if the service moves to a new operator, in which case your rights are protected. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
